Can anyone recommend a good Christian movie?
I mean other than the sword-and-sandle epics
of the fifties, like Ben Hur and The Robe, or the
Jesus biopics, like The Greatest Story Ever Told.
Are there any contemporary stories that someone
would recommend as a DVD pick?

If you like something edgier, you might try "The Apostle" starring Robert Duval -

Love the old Bibical movies that Hollywood produced during the late 50's and 60's. The Ten Commandments was made then, along with countless others...The Greatest Story Ever told is good... The Robe.......and also Barabas with Anthony Quinn. There were many made during this time that are about other Bibical characters of the Old Testiment too. The Bible , with John Huston playing Noah...Great movie.
And one more is " In The Beginning " another great movie...
I believe Jesus of Nazareth was one of the best movies made about the life of Christ.
And lets not forget about "Jesus" based on Luke, that has been circulated more than any other movie in more countries..
